[If you are attending a paid internship]
Regardless of whether the internship is a program provided by Waseda University, you must submit the "Application for Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted." See here for the procedures of application. [Permitted working hours]
During academic terms: up to 28 hours per week During summer, winter, and spring breaks: up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week *If you plan to attend an internship during an academic term that exceeds 28 hours per week, you will need to apply for "Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted for over 28 Hours Per Week" in addition to the "Application for Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted."
Please note that only those who satisfy certain conditions can apply.
