Recruitment has now started!

The Center for International Education, Waseda University is recruiting Waseda students who wish to participate in one of most famous and highly regarded universities in the world, Yale University's summer courses 2010.

◆ Summer Session B
July 5th, 2010 - August 6th, 2010

June 28th, 2010 - August 6th, 2010

[Maximum number of participants]
10 students (including Summer session A & B, and ELI all together)

[Fees]
Summer session : Approx. 720,000 Yen
ELI course: Approx. 630,000 Yen
* Fee above represents cost for each session/course.
* Fee above includes: Tuition/Room & Board/Local medical insurance/SEVIS fee/Waseda program operation and development fee (participants are required to pay the fee to Waseda's designated bank account in Japanese Yen.).
* Fee above does NOT include: Transportation to/from Yale/Visa application/Health & Travel insurance/Other personal expense etc.
* Fee above is based on exchange rate (USD1.00=JPY92). The actual amount payable in Japanese Yen depends upon Waseda's internal exchange rate determined later stage.

[Language of Instruction]
ENGLISH
* Summer session A/B : Participants are advised to have English ability equivalent to TOEFL iBT 100.
* ELI: Participants are advised to have English ability equivalent to TOEFL iBT63.
* You are not required to have a TOEFL score itself to apply.

[Condition of booking] 
* Participating in the Yale program does not disturb your classes/exams schedules at Waseda.
* Please consult with your parents/guarantor before applying.
* If you are currently studying abroad at one of CIE's study abroad programs, please make sure that participating in the Yale program does not disturb your current classes/exams at the host university.
* You are required to submit CIE's application form and Study Abroad Pledge.
* You are required to purchase Waseda's travel and health insurance.
 (If you are currently studying abroad and already have the insurance, and it is valid through the Yale program, it is not necessary to purchase the insurance again.)
* You are required to register for Waseda's overseas student safety management program including renting a mobile phone.
* In order to receive a student visa, you will need to submit a bank statement whose savings cover the program fee. (refer to [Fees])
* These programs are open to students from the other universities.
* The contents and program fee are subject to change without notice by Yale University.
* Application must be submitted to the CIE, direct application to Yale is not accepted.
* You are responsible to apply for the U.S. student visa (F-1).
* The recruitment for Yale programs are based on a rolling basis. However, if the number of applications excess ten, participants may be nominated by internal selection. Also, in order to assess your language ability, the CIE may interview you. Depending on the selection and interview you may not be able to participate in the programs.

[Application and Deadline]
If you would like to participate in one of Yale programs, please email us by 31st of March, 2010. Please clearly state which session (either A or B or ELI) you would like to join.
After that, we will ask you to submit application documents, and you will also be required to register Yale's on-line application form by mid-April by yourself. We will give you the details in later stage.

c) One copy of passport
d) One copy of your Waseda student ID
e) Health and Travel Insurance application form
